Hello! I’m Sierra.

Robin Hood's Bay, England, Cleveland Way

Thank you for visiting my little digital abode! If you’re here, that must mean we share a common interest in travelling or hiking or adventuring… maybe all of the above. Let me introduce myself:

I’m a travel enthusiast from California who has been a nomad almost my entire life. I have lived all over California, Texas, Utah, Washington, and abroad in England. This lifestyle has ignited my curiosity and sense of adventure.

My story.

I have had a vibrant imagination since I was very little. When I was lucky enough to take my first international trip at the age of 5 to England for a family wedding, my imagination’s scope only expanded.

During this trip, we visited a castle in York where we climbed a steep, winding staircase only to find the executioners' lair waiting for us at the top, staged with wax figurines and all. What an absolutely frightening sight for a girl with such a vibrant imagination! The thing is, that memory and the story of the York castle have stayed with me even to this day. Those stories and my imagination are what drive my passion for travel.

The spark.

It is hard to pinpoint a moment in time when traveling became my passion. I spent much of my childhood and into my early adult life moving all around the United States, and as much as I kicked up a fuss whenever our family moved as a child, I am grateful for it now as it has cemented a love for exploration.

I was 22 when I made the decision to go to university. I found an opportunity to study and obtain a bachelor's degree in England; I didn’t need much convincing. In September 2020, I packed up my things in the middle of a global pandemic and moved my life to Leeds, England.

During the following three years, my life exploded with exploration and adventure. I was able to travel to several places in Europe, and the experience ignited my love for travel.

Where are we now?

After graduating in 2023, I am now back in the States, working a 9-to-5, and dreaming up my next adventure.

To me, the most charming thing about travel is connecting with people from all over the world and hearing their stories. Learning history, culture, and tales from people all over the world opens our minds up to different perspectives.

The goal of this website is to spark your imagination, encouraging you to unleash your creativity and explore the myriad dream destinations waiting to be discovered across the globe.

Aside from my love for travel and hiking, I am a devoted reader. Unsurprisingly, I'm drawn to travel journals, but I also have a soft spot for romance novels—Bridgerton is one of my favourite series. However, my favourite book of all time is Anne of Green Gables by L.M. Montgomery. You can probably tell from the various quotes scattered throughout my site.

I love plants and gardening, and as expected, writing is one of my favourite things to do.
